Nienke van Schaverbeke is the Head of Europeana Collections at the Europeana Foundation, The Hague, Netherlands. Europeana is the European Commission’s digital platform for cultural heritage. Through Europeana, citizens and the cultural and creative industries can access European culture for the widest possible variety of purposes. Nienke has over 15 years of experience in the publishing and library sector. Her previous positions include head of the European Library, commissioning editor at Cambridge University Press, and marketing manager at Brill Academic Publishers.
