Joseph Pugh
Education & Outreach, The National Archives (UK)
Jo Pugh is a member of the Education and Outreach team at The National Archives. He has worked at a number of museums and galleries including the National Portrait Gallery, the Petrie Collection and for BBC History.
His research interests at the Archives have included 1950s horror comics, British cinema and how to win a duel. This last proved unexpectedly useful when he helped the History Channel fight one in 2010. He also manages a project to tweet the Second World War in real time using British Cabinet Papers.
In 2012 he organised Hack on the Record, the Archives first hack day and established “This Means War”, a project with Wikimedia UK to release Second World War artworks onto Wiki Commons.
