Europeana Foundation

Jill Cousins is the Executive Director of the Europeana Foundation. Her passion is enticing unlikely people into their cultural heritage. Armed with the vision for Europeana as a Digital Service Infrastructure for Europe, she tries to coax cultural heritage to transform the world with culture. Her role is also to ensure the long term sustainability of the Europeana ecosystem. The Europeana Foundation promotes collaboration between museums, archives, audiovisual collections and libraries so that users can have integrated ac- cess to their content through Europeana and other services. The Foundation is housed within the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the national library of the Netherlands.
